Kathleen Elaine Kuiper

RACINE - Kathleen 'Kathi' Elaine (nee Shellberg) Kuiper, 68, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints. She was born in Racine on February 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Theodore and Evelyn (nee Kind) Shellberg. Kathi was a graduate of Washington Park High School class of 1965. On August 27, 1966 Kathi was united in marriage to J. David Kuiper in Racine. She was a past member of Racine Christian Reformed Church and had attended Racine Bible Church. She had been employed part time with Needle Works in Racine. Kathi enjoyed needlework and especially loved reproducing old fashioned samplers. Then searching antique malls for frames to complete her projects. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, David and their daughters, Candace (Randy) Wood and Valerie (Jim) Svoboda; grandchildren, Cooper, Jackson, Tessa and Hannah and special friend of many years, Kris Acklam. She is further survived by a brother, sister, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be we at Sturino Funeral Home on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1130 a.m. There will be a time to meet with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service.
