To the Carroll family, I was thinking about all of you tonight because it is New Year's Eve. My family, the Poundstones, frequently spent New Year's Eve at the Carroll home in Phillips Texas. I am named Mary Therese because my mother Pat Poundstone loved Mary Therese Carroll's name.
The Carroll family played a big part in my family's life. I cherish those memories. I hope that your family has been able to remember the good times in this holiday season.

I just became aware and was so very much saddened to hear She was a wonderful Lady. We used to politic together and I have so missed those days. My love, comfort and prayers to her family as they pass through this period of transition. She will be so dearly missed. I cannot find enough words to convey my sympathy to the family on her loss.

Your mom and family have journeyed with many in their goodbyes including my family. Now we journey with you. I know she is dancing the jig like she never could before with your mom and dad. Prayers and best wishes to Mrs. Carroll's husband and family. I remember the Carroll family all the way back to my 2nd Grade at St. Stephen's School. She always had a kind word for me even when I was much older and would on occasion see her at Church or out shopping or dining. She was a very special woman and will never be too far away from her family.
