Thomas Lane Obituary
1944 - 2018
Thomas R. Lane of Kingsport, Tenn., 73, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Vanderbilt Medical Center, Nashville, Tenn., following a brief illness.
He had worked for Snap-On Tools corporate office in Kenosha, and as Plant Manager at the Snap-On Tools Johnson City, Tenn., plant. Tom owned and operated a Coffee Gallery in Kingsport for 8 years. He was a Master Gardener and active volunteer at Exchange Place, Kingsport, TN. He also participated with Northeast Tennessee Quilts of Valor® group.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Margaret Lane.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Susan Plutchak Lane; 2 sisters, Nancy (David) Wick, and Janet Dolnik; brother Gary Lane; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the Boathouse Pub & Eatery, 4917 – 7th Ave., Kenosha WI, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Exchange Place, or the Quilts of Valor #10671 c/o Susan Lane, P.O. Box 3093, Kingsport, TN 37664.

Tom and I grew up together and went to same schools. He was a dear friend and I am surprised that we made it through out teen years. Fun and trouble was our moto. Always got together when he returned to Ktown. RIP my friend. Sue--HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU

Lots of great memories about going to the Golden Point on Sheridan road, playing minature golf next door to the point. Riding in his TR7. Fishing in lake Michigan for perch. Playing pool in Rizzato's basement. And, lets not forget the Keno Drive-in movies. RIP Tom
