God Bless Mr. Cassidy. He was an integral part of the "Greatest Generation" by serving his country proudly during WWII. His dedication and the sacrifice he made for our great nation will never be forgotten. If it wasn't for him and his fellow WWII servicemen, we wouldn't have the great nation that exists today. They paved the way for America and provided us with the freedom and opportunities that we all cherish. We owe so much to Mr. Cassidy and all of his WWII brethren. He will most certainly be bestowed with a set of gold wings in heaven. Thank you Mr. Cassidy! God Bless you and your family!

Thank you Mr. Cassidy for serving our country and paving the road for us along the way. From bearing all your hardships [ Wars, depression, taxes, farming, diseases, trying to raise a family, work from sun-up to sun-down, all so much more intense than todays,]that you had to endure along the way and being a teacher to younger generations in your life. So much you have seen and coped with, the changes in a century and still be the kind, giving, hardworking man that you were. We take our Parents, and elderly for granted today, we are so busy, yet have all the technoligy and gadgets that make our lives so easy,[and lazy] and never stop to think that, our grandparents never had a cell phone, curling iron, crockpot, can -opener etc. Sometimes, You are forgotten until something happens, then of course all the family comes running to get aquainted with the person they hardly know, they never had time to go see. Would have loved to meet you in person and heard your stories about your life from young to old. What a wonderful story you would have had. If I lived closer I would have been there yesterday to see you off on another adventure to again see your wife and other family members in paradise. God Bless you and yours.

Roscoe you will have thousands at your funeral, they may not all be brave soldiers like you who fought alongside of you, but your story has touched my family, our dad ran Mash type Hospitals in the Jungles, was asked to do so by Uncle Sam. He was just ready to open his private practice in San Antonio, TX. Had to put that off for 4 1/2 years. He left this world on June 3, 1977. Cancer of the lungs from smoking Lucky Strikes that were in the MRE's. God Bless you Roscoe and thank you for your service. You will have lots of company. And my son Edward sits beside St. Peter and helps new arrivals into the Kingdom of Forever. God Bless you Roscoe and to your family, they must be proud. I know i am.
