Dear Betty - A friend of mine maintained correspondence with Joan. When she passed you personally called him to break the news and let him know how dearly she thought of him over the years. Your skill and devotion has your name in constant use. You are remembered. I wish I'd have known you, but I think of you often. My condolences to your family and those you loved.

Hard to believe that it has been so long. It just shows what an impression you made in life and the memories everyone has of you.

Dearest Betty, you were a friend of my Mother's for so long and then myself, she would be so upset as I am. We had such good times together in LA and England. All my love, Jill and Renee Iles too.

This is a sad loss. Although I never had the opportunity to meet her, the way she stood up for her friends (Joan Crawford among them) says it all. Classy lady.

I never had the good fortune to meet this lovely lady, but I did have an opportunity to read through some of her correspondence that was saved by Miss Crawford and donated to the NY Public Library. Miss Barker was so dedicated, eloquent, and gracious in her writings and I imagine even more so in person. I send every warm wish and blessing to her and her loved ones.

Dear Betty,
The world is less enchanted without you in it. You made such a wonderful difference to those who were fortunate to know you, and you inspire those of us who survive you, like me, to be better people. Your loyalty and commitment to the preservation of the Crawford legacy will live on in all my endeavors as it will in my heart. Thank you for keeping the flame of Joan's legacy a torch that always stayed beautifully lit. Remembering your kindness and missing you.
