LOS ANGELES (AP) - Leonard Cohen, the baritone voiced Canadian singer songwriter who seamlessly blended spirituality and sexuality in songs like "Hallelujah," 'Suzanne" and "Bird on a Wire," has died at age 82, his son said.

I knew Leonard 2000 2001 When he would pop in and out of the Hotel Wayne in Honesdale PA. I didnt know he was a famous guy at the time. He had just gotten out of the monastery. And I had just left the Himalayan yoga Institute.

We wanted it darker, and we killed the flame. May you rest in peace in the tower of song forever. no one person sacrificed so much, under difficult conditions to attain sainthood through your poems and songs.
