Edward Donegan Obituary
Edward Gerard Donegan of Florida, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, April 2, 2015 with his family by his side. He was 83. The son of the late Thomas Donegan & Margaret McGill Donegan, he was born September 10, 1931 in New York, NY.
Ed was a US Army Korean veteran and was a graduate of Manhattan College. He was an avid Yankee and Giant fan who loved to travel and enjoyed listening to music. He also enjoyed history and following his grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ann Marie Donegan; six children, Kenneth Donegan; Denise Gass (Jerry); Patricia Stephens (Paul); Gerard Donegan (Stacey); Claire Cashman (Bob); Robert Donegan (Denise); 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Dorothy Donegan. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7th from 4-8pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 11AM Wednesday, April 8th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.
Burial will be in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
