Joseph Heavrin Obituary
He was a graduate of Flaget High School and retired from The Courier Journal after 42 years. Ray enjoyed bowling and gardening. He was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Raymond Heavrin, Sr.; his mother, Roberta Burch Heavrin; his sisters, Gerry Huffman, Geraldine Marie Heavrin and Doris Dufton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Hardin Heavrin; sons, Kevin (Karen), Steve (Tammy) and Craig Heavrin; daughter, Kim Nuss (Kevin); grandchildren, Andrea, Mark, Lindsey and Pam Heavrin and Breanna and Nicole Nuss; and several nephews and nieces.
His memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. Visitation with the family will be from 10 a.m. until time of Mass Saturday at church.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Mass of the Air.
