WILLIAM BALLUFF Obituary

WILLIAM BALLUFF William F. "Bill" Balluff, of Las Vegas, passed away Oct. 8, 2013, at the tender age of 77. Bill was a retired sheet metal worker and a member of Local 88 for 45 years. He was a graduate of Las Vegas High School and a 60-year resident of Las Vegas. Bill contributed to the building of many icons on the Las Vegas strip, such as the Aladdin, Stardust and Mirage hotels, just to name a few. He had a passion for football, NASCAR and in his retired years enjoyed playing golf, working crossword puzzles and spent untold hours playing Hearts on the computer. In 1962, he married the love of his life, Betty. Together, they brought into this life their beloved son, Brad. He loved his two dogs as if they were his children. While he lives on in our hearts, he will be forever missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vic and Pearl Balluff. He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years, Betty; son, Brad; daughter-in-law, Lori; granddaughters, Caleigh and Jenn Presley (Derrick); grandson, Josh Curry (Suzanne); six great-grandchildren; his brothers, Jim and Jerry; sister, Norma; as well as many nieces and nephews. A private "celebration of life gathering" was held by his family.
