My mom was the most caring generous person. She had a heart of gold and always told you what was on her mind. She gave me the strength to be the woman I am today. I know grandma and you are together now. You will always be in my heart.

Jean, The friends of our youth are as irreplaceable as youth itself. You made the years of my life from ages 6 to 36 in Chicago infinitely more interesting and memorable than they could possibly have been without you, and I'll never forget or stop loving you for the wonderful gift of our friendship. You taught me emotional intimacy at a time when I opened my feelings to few other people. Not surprisingly, and to judge by the many notes of condolence here, your life in Nevada was as fun, full, and exciting as your earlier days with LaDonna, Ed, me, and many others who couldn't get enough of your infectious spirit. Your old comrades from the East Side will hold you in our hearts forever. My heart breaks for George, your kids, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. Love you always,
Ron (or as you always called me, "Ronald") Vertone

Jean a.k.a. Vegas Gypsy. You will be missed greatly and I love you. When I had a stoke you were the driving force behind my mending. We gamed every day and you made me talk to you and my speech improved. We laughed because you told me the curse words I didn't have a problem with. You played with me and got my reflexes back to par because I have fight those monsters with you. You healed me in game and out and I will be forever grateful. You will always be my best friend and gaming buddy. I will miss you and in time we game together I know it. Love You!

Dear Jean.....I remember many fun times with you and my brother George....our trips to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and the beach in the condo to name a few. You always found us deals for shows and fun.....and all the many stories we would tell each other and the wonderful laugh. Even in emails there would be a line or two followed by "ha, ha" the laughter in words. No more pain now, rest in peace. Precious memories last last forever, we will always remember and cherish them.

Jean,
Through life we live and leave our marks. Like ripples in a pond. And if we are lucky we feel those ripples and add them to our own.
And if we are truly blessed we meet those who leave large wakes in the pond changing the course of our lives forever. Jean, you left an ocean of wakes and will never be forgotten. I still laugh at the Drugs are my life shirt but the truth is I am glad you were a part of my life and family.
I will miss my World of Warcraft playing, typing 1000 word per minute, turkey skin stealing aunt.
Rest now, sleep, we all will carry on until we meet again at the next rez point.

The fight must have been impossible because Jean would never give up on anything. The retirement years she was planning to spend with family and grandchildren were taken from her and them too soon. The quality of her life far exceeded the quantity of years she was given. I am grateful to have been a part of it. Working with her at Express Scripts was a hoot.

In paradise you will rest now.

Jean, even though its been years, you are one woman I will never forget.

I will remember you for your big smile, the trust you had in me, as well as always welcoming me into your home and treating me like family. You lived life as you wanted and had fun while doing so! I admired your passion and I loved laughing with you when your silly side came through while I hung around with your daughters.

Those memories will stay in my heart.

So now we must continue our lives without someone that was so dear to us. Jean, you were our friend, our family, from the first time we met you til the last time we hugged goodbye. We will never quite understand why you were taken from all of us much too early. You will live on in our memories until we can once again be reunited to continue the adventure. All our love.......

"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand"-Jesus John.10: 27 - 29 KJV

"The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind. This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same"-Krishna Bhagavad Gita 2: 23 - 24

Bless your entire family. I can still hear your great laugh...
