Lavern Schuld Obituary
Lavern W. "Vern" Schuld, age 83, of New Hope MN, passed away on Aug 7, 2014. Survived by sons, James (Nancy) and Joseph (Anne); grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Laura, Eric, Sara and Emma; brothers, Eugene (Dolores), Bernard (Blanche) and Ernest (Mary Ann); sister, Carol (Michael) Stack; sister-in-law, Joyce; many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by wife, Carole; parents, Alvin and Florence; stepmother Dorothy (Aschenbrenner) Schuld and brother, Leo. Vern, "LW" to his late wife, was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a Korean War Navy veteran, UW-Madison graduate, electrical and aerospace engineer, inventor, entrepreneur, and dedicated garage tinkerer. He enjoyed photography, baseball, fishing, and time with his family. His gentle strength and sweet smile will be deeply missed.
Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, Aug 13, 10:30 a.m. at the Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd., Crystal, MN Interment Ft. Snelling. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church and Tuesday, Aug 12, 6-8 p.m. with 7 p.m. prayer service at Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 3888 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN. Memorials preferred to St. Therese Foundation. Gearty-Delmore 763-537-4511
