Not sure what to say?

Somehow, the news of Michael's passing never reached me until today. With all the celebrity deaths this week, it hits hard.
After all these years I'm still a huge fan and I still get emotional listening to his music.
Doors, For the Very First Time, and Dialogue still put a lump in my throat.
Thank you, Michael, for your talent, and Rest in Peace.

Greatly Missed. Michael deserved so much more, for his beautiful mellow voice and great Troubadore.

In 1983 or so, after playing a concert at Utah State University in the Fine Arts Center, I introduced myself to Michael backstage... somehow the college kid I was talked him into going out for a beer... told him about all of his albums I had... and, after a pitcher or two, I drove him back to the University Inn, and Michael played his guitar for me in his hotel room there. He was so gracious to this fan!!! I left before he had a chance to kick me out :D Miss you, Michael!!

Thanks for the inspirational music. I met Michael at BNA. Carrying his guitar. So humble and so appreciative that I said hello and how i loved his writing and guitar ability. Such a quiet and under the spotlight greatness. Needs to be recognized by the industry. Thank you Michael for all you did musically for this world. Thank you. JJ

I didn’t realize you had passed, thank you for making such beautiful music. RIP

YOU, DEAR MICHAEL HAD A VOICE LIKE AN ANGEL AND TRANSPORTS ME TO ANOTHER TIME AND PLACE PLAYING YOUR MUSIC. YOU DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER MICHAEL. YOU RATED TOO GUN UP THERE WITH ALL THE GREAT SINGERS. I REMEMBER HEARING YOUR 1ST SONG THAT BLEW ME AWAY, "ROOTY TOOT TOOT FOR THE MOON" AND THAT BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS SONG YOU PLAYED AT THE CONDGON MANSION IN DULUTH MN. PROUND TO CALL YOU MINNESOTA'S SON. R.I.P. KAREN ANDERSON- MENDOTA HTS, MN

I loved your music. I still do. Thank you for your sweet, gentleness.

i followed his music since the early seventies. i finally got to see him perform in madison kentucky after driving alone from oklahoma.he put on a great performance.when it ended,i rushed back stage and called out to him and let him know how much his music meant to me over the years.he shook my hand and then afterwards,he came out front and he let someone snap a photo of himself and me.i was on cloud 9.i was so saddened to hear of his death. i'll never forget him.truly a great singer and...

I have very fond memories of listening to Michael Johnson's There is a Breeze album, which began when I was 16. I followed his career for years. I was able to see him perform at my college which was great because there are so many MN fans! I also saw him perform at MN State Fair a few times. I marveled at these free concerts and his wonderful humor and fabulous music. What a kind, talented and beautiful soul. May he rest in peace.
