Not sure what to say?

May God give you strength and comfort during this difficult time. I am so sorry for your loss. Sending sincere condolences and prayers to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed and touched the lives of so many.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Thank you Mike for everything you did. Exactly like George W Bush said "Mike Illitch is the defintion of a patriot that loved his country."

I did not know that Mike died. I am very sad. He saved my Uncle Herman Cohens Fox Theatre. That too was one of his great achievements. I had my 13th Birthday at the Fox with the animals from my Uncles film Black Zoo and a screening of the film with my friends in the 20s screening room downstairs. I had someone take me up to the 3rd Balcony that was not used in 1963.

I did drop by the Fox in recent years and talked to the Staff. They recalled Bill Brown telling tales of my Uncle....

Mr.Ilitch, you were the Heartbeat of Detroit. Thanks for the wonderful memories you left us.

My sincere condolences to the Ilitch family. Thank you so much for sharing your husband/father and friend with us. May you reflect on precious memories as well as the words at Hosea 13:14 to bring you both comfort and hope.

Mr. Ilitch's life story is one of the most touching stories I've heard in some time. A man that had humble beginnings and continued that humility even after he became successful financially. It is sad to hear of anyone's passing, but it is especially sad to hear of someone so giving as Mr. Ilitch. I would like to extend my condolences to the family and friends. May you find refuge with our Creator as you cope with the loss of your loved one. Psalms 9:9

May you rest in peace Michael. Thank you for your inspiration

Thx for pouring your heart into Detroit. What you have done for the city, the WIngs (four cups) and the Tigers is very special. You will be dearly missed : (
