Ruby Avera Davidson - a native of Washington Co., AL and resident of Eight Mile, AL for the past 30 years. She was an honorary member of Destination Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gavin McRae and Dora Schultz McRae; husbands, Guy Avera and Ray Davidson; two sons, Jacob Avera and Ed Avera; three sisters, Erna Wood, Jettie Lee Rigney and Dovie McRae. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Dennis) Wood; two daughters-in-law, Myra Avera and Melonie Avera; five grandchildren, Mandy (Paul) Willamor, Leslie (Jess) McCulloch, Leah (Michael) Evans, Jake Avera, Jr. and Jason (Elizabeth) Wood; two great-granddaughters, Courtney and Kelsie Willamor; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
services will be Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
