Albert Ryer

Albert V. Ryer, 89, a resident of Prattville, AL, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 12:00PM - 1:00PM at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00PM with Pastor David Burns officiating. Burial with military honors will take place at Greenwood Cemetery following the service. Mr. Ryer retired from the U.S. Army and later went to work the State of Alabama Defense Force, where he retired. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Ryer. Mr. Ryer is survived by his loving wife, Helen Ryer; children, Ronald Ryer, Patricia Donahoe, David Ryer; sister, Sylvia Mae Callahan; and twenty grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society in memory of Albert V. Ryer.
