Julie and girls, It was a honor to work with Dave so many years at the City of Muskegon DPW. He was a great supervisor and good friend. I am sad that we never got to implement some our inner city ministries that he and I dreamed about. I pray for the peace that passes all understanding for you and your family.

I first met Dave (AKA "Lefty") when we played little league baseball together for Webber Lumber at Sheldon Park back in the mid 70's. We didn't see each other much after that, but we still would talk when we did. It saddens me to hear that Dave has passed. The world has lost a great man. A special man. My sympathy's are with you. Carry on Dave's spirit and may we all keep a part of him with us at all times.

I first met Dave many years before either of us worked at the City of Muskegon, I think it was 1984. He sat in front of me in a history class we were both taking at MCC. We were always competing against each other to get the best grade on tests and papers! May you and your daughters be comforted in this time of grief!!
