Derek LaBarre Obituary
He was born Sept. 14, 1987 in Marietta, OH, a son of Tyson and Julie LaBarre Lucas.
Derek was a junior at North Myrtle Beach High School. He was an avid skateboarder.
Other than his parents, Derek is survived by a brother, Garrett Lucas of North Myrtle Beach; grandparents, Richard LaBarre and Carol White of Marietta, OH, Joe and Patty Lucas of Marietta, OH, and Ray and Jane Witten, of Newport, OH.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 2, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home & Crematory. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 3, at Our Lady Star Of The Sea Catholic Church. Burial will follow in North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.

I can not believe it has been 5 years since you moved to heaven. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t thinks about you, talk to you or about you, pray for you, cry for you or laugh about you. You are still so much a part of my everyday because I keep you alive in spirit. Everyday I try to be open-minded and open-hearted to hear you and see the signs that you leave.
