Actually I first met Jim around 1974 right after the birth of my daughter. It's hard to believe that it has been that long but I still fondly remember the time we spent working together. It is wildly ironic that he found someone with the same name to continue partnering with in his professional life.

I have been looking for Jim for 35 years and for the misplacement of an e I could not find him anywhere. I first met Jim around 1984 when we both lived in the same apartment complex in Pembroke Pines, FL. He was in school at the time and trying to make ends meet. I hired him as a helper installing air conditioning duct with me for a company out of Ft. Lauderdale and it wasn't long before he was right there working with me as an equal. Even though I tempted him, he never wavered in his life's goal of being a dentist, this was his purpose in life and I knew he was going to be successful. When he finished up his undergraduate work and headed off to Gainesville and I moved my family to California in '87 we lost touch and I have periodically attempted to find him. Finally, now that technology has advanced to the point that I could find him I find that his joyous laugh has been taken from the world by cancer much too early and that I have missed him. Last week while visiting the area I tried once again and came across this posting. I was in tears to find he had passed and that I hadn't been able to hear of his successes. Discovering that his current business partner and I shared the same name just brought the irony of my long search home. I would have liked to have seen him in action in the field he loved and worked so hard to get to. I know he was great because that was the way he did things. I will always remember Jim as a hard working, fun loving guy that loved to argue over song lyrics and have a good time. I will miss the thought that I will someday see him and get to share family stories and personal triumphs but he will remain in my memory forever as my partner and my friend.

I found this Obituary as I was looking for Jimmy's address for our Class of 66 reunion coming up. I was so saddened. We were great friends in high school. He was an amazing human being. So blessed to have shared a bit of our lives here on earth.

I will miss Dr. C dearly. I was his patient and he promised me a beautiful smile the first time we met. He truly delivered on that promise. I was so greatful I sent him a dozen roses to his office as a thank you. He told me he had never received flowers before and and he had told his staff they were from Shania Twain...... He was always joking and smiling. He was a very special man and I will miss seeing him when I go to the dentist. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
