William COSULICH Obituary

COSULICH - William F. of Syosset, NY on July 21, 2013. He was founder and first president and CEO of his own engineering company, William F. Cosulich Associates, which began in the mid 1960's. His firm deals with all aspects of environmental engineering including sewage and water systems, landfills, incinerators and all other issues dealing with the environment. From his start as a Long Island firm, he expanded into New York City, New York State, New Jersey and other U.S.A. areas. Bill was also involved in engineering projects in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Argentina and areas of northern South America. As his firm began to grow, he took in two partners Miro Dvirka and Nicholas Bartilucci. Some years later, Cosulich decided to form a subsiderary company named Dvirka and Bartilucci. Both entities continue today. To letyounger engineers advance, he decided to retire at age 65. He then began volunteering with the International Executive Service Corps and workd with the World Bank and U.S. Aid. He spent months solving environmental problems in such countries as Romania, Poland, Hungary and Bosnia. He is an engineering graduate of Manhattan College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anne, his son of Marlboro, New Jersey, William F. Cosulich, MD and his daughter Jeanne Cosulich DiProperzio of Rye, NY. Beloved grandfather of William and Michael Cosulich of NJ, Patricia Cosulich of CA, Anthony, Joseph, Mary, and Anne-Marie, Catherine, Vincent, Lisa and John-Paul DiProperzio of Rye, NY. Reposing at Beney Funeral Home, 79 Berry Hill Rd., Syosset, NY. Visiting Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Thursday 11:00 AM at St. Edward Confessor RC Church, 205 Jackson Ave. Syosset, NY. Interment Holy RoodCemetery, Westbury, NY.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
