Angela Kathryn Stout

Angela Kathryn Stout passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Passages Hospice and Sanctuary in New Orleans LA. Daughter of Martha Roper Alexander and the late Conrad Dale Stout, a New Orleans attorney and later Federal Judge for the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C. Sister of Martha Moncure Stout and sister-in-law of Allen Tyler Bixby. Aunt of Gabriel Adolfo Bello. Longtime best friend of Nita Flores. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Kathy had a Ph.D. in Sociology and was a professor at various colleges and universities over the past 34 years. She was passionate about her teaching and most recently taught at Manhattan College in the Bronx in New York and at Southern University of New Orleans. During her teaching career Kathy received many recognitions and awards. She also contributed to various publications in her field. Her last days were spent in comfort at Passages Hospice, thanks to their loving and caring staff. A private memorial service will be held for immediate family and close friends.
