William Magee Obituary
William "Bill" F., 64, of Maywood, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 6, 2015.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral from the Sullivan Funeral Home, 146 East Second Ave., Roselle on Wednesday, November 11 at 9:00 AM, thence to the Church of St. Joseph the Carpenter, Roselle, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, from 4-8 PM. To offer condolences please visit www.sullivanfh.net
Bill was born in Jersey City and lived in Rockaway Twp., prior to moving to Maywood 21 years ago. He graduated from Manhattan College with a BA in Accounting. Bill was a Teacher and Track & Field Coach at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell for many years.
Bill was the devoted father of Michael Delaney and his wife Anna, Patrick Magee and his wife Jen, Ryan Magee and Robert Magee and the cherished grandfather of Eden, Grace, Eve and Mary Kate. He was the beloved son of Evelyn (Moran) Magee and the late Bernard Magee and the dear brother of Pamela Magee, Deborah Levitan, Barbara Syling, Karen Mellon, BJ Magee and Brian Magee. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". Please accept my deepest condolences. Bill touched the lives of many people and many people share in your loss. He loved his family and loved his friends and loved the sport of track and field. Bill was able to spread his love to everyone with whom he came in contact and especially to those athletes who worked with him. He had an incredible love for his high school alma mater, Roselle Catholic which he continued to perpetuate in the spirit of his father, Bernie like a chip off the old block! He will be missed by everyone who knew him and I'm sure he would be truly honored for any of his athletes to continue in the Magee legacy of coaching or officiating the sport Bill and Bernie loved so much.......Track and Field.

I remember Billy Magee as a little boy down on the Highlands Beach, Seadrift Avenue? I am truly saddened to learn of his passing. May he rest in eternal peace.

To the family of William Magee,
I am sorry for your loss. However, I am sure that you all are proud of the person your loved one was, especially being that as a Teacher and Coach he impacted the lives of many. He surely made quite an honorable name for himself. (Ecc. 7:1)

Billy, like dad Bernie, was a fine guy and fun to be around, and hard worker as a HS track competitor. Both now are missed.

Worked with Bill many years ago at Alberta Smyth in Union, New Jersey. He was a kind and gentle person. I was reading the Star Ledger when I noticed his picture and name. I have not spoke to Bill in over 25 years. So sorry to hear the news. Went to see Bruce with Bill and his wife. Great memories. Bill was a great guy. Francine Lodato Delli Santi
