I didn't know Pete at Yale although we were in the same class, but about 2yrs after graduation when I was a Med student at GWU and Pete was newly married and in the Army, I met him thru a friend Don McKay a fellow GW student and we became friends along with another couple George and Nancy Buehler(George was Harvard but we forgave him.) I saw a good bit of Pete and Jane and was sorry I hadn't known him at Yale. Pete was warm and friendly and so was Jane we socialized a good bit. Ilater had dinner at their apt in N.Y. when I was an intern at Mount Sinai but then entered the Navy then medical and heme residency and lost track. I last saw Pete and Jane at the 35th or 40th reunion but not since. At that time we greeted each other warmly and I introduced them to my wife but my practice precluded many long distance socializing opportunities. I do miss him.

I was shocked to read of Peter's death in the Yale Alumni Magazine. Although my contact was brief i.e. in Washington D.C. during his Army stint and a brief get together in N.Y. in 1959 or 60 I have fond memories of him as well as Jane. My sincere condolences to Jane and the entire family. I know he will be sorely missed.

Peter revealed only tidbits of his esteemed real estate credentials to me from time to time. I felt honored to have his and Jane' confidence through multiple residential real estate transactions in their personal holdings. But as I read the scope of Peter's work and honors over so many years, I am once more reminded of just how humble a man Peter was - who knew?! In the often tough world of NY real estate Peter remained such a kind, gentle and decent person. In the end, this is what I will forever cherish about Peter. May he rest in peace.
Peter's love for "his bride" Jane came through in so many details. I wish Jane and the kids peace and strength through these undoubtedly difficult days of loss and remembrance.
Blessings!

My deep condolences to Peter's family and loved ones he left behind.
Peter was a true gent in a business not always known for the same. He will be missed.
