Harold Noffsinger Obituary
Harold Noffsinger was born Sunday, August 4, 1918 in Cuyahoga Falls.
He graduated from North High School, was in the Army, serving in the South Pacific during World War II, and played baseball at The University of Chicago. He married Elinor Bline and together they raised five children before her death in 1970. He retired from Polsky's, golfed until recently, loved to garden, cook and read, and always amazed friends and family with his energy, positive outlook, and sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dale (Cox) Noffsinger; sisters, Wilma Hamilton, Myrtis Roberts, Eloise Adams, and Eva Butters; brother, Frank E. Noffsinger; his first wife, Elinor, and second wife, Edye; son, George; and daughter, Lynda. He is survived by sons, Frank (Sandi) and Bud; daughter, Patty (Tom) Fann; sister, Kathryn Letzler; brother-in-law, Gerald Bline; godson, Father David Bline; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Public visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Adams Mason Funeral Home (791 E. Market Street, Akron). Funeral Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday, August 28, 10 a.m., at St. Francis de Sales (4019 Manchester Road, Akron). Military rites for Harold and his brother, Frank will be held Wednesday, August 28, 1:30 p.m., at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorial donations may be made to Haven of Rest (175 E. Market Street, Akron, OH 44308) and Honor Flight Cleveland (37 Levan Drive, Painesville, OH 44077).

I always loved talking with Harold, because he was like a walking history book. His life experiences were priceless. He was a considerate, loving man and he will be greatly missed. Now he can play baseball and golf as much as he wants! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
