Never a day went by those years ago before I moved west that I didn,t stop and have coffee with my friend. Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind and make me smile. You treated me as family and as always I felt the same. I miss you my friend.Someday our paths will cross. And there better be coffee.

As 2 years have nearly gone by and the everyday hustle bustle continues, there are so many countless times that you are remembered and deeply missed. Holidays, birthdays, good times and bad, we know you are looking down. When the days are dark you some how have a way to light a candle and let us know god has you watching over us. I joined the military because I always admired and respected how you and Rob served. You were more than a father in law to me, you were one of the few positive male role models I've had in my life. I know you loved me no matter what you said...lol. I try to be here for Carol and Rob but the grief they feel is unspeakable and can only be comforted by God. They have had great support by family and friends too. I will see you at mass and please remind god of our little miracle we are trying to make happen. I love you Bob!!

I have often wondered what happened to Bob. In 6th grade when I picked his name out of the newspaper as one of the soldiers in Nam to be my "pen pal" I never expected him to write be back. Instead, we became pen pals for a long time. I remember the first day he came to visit me when he was on leave. He showed up at my front door in his uniform, with chocolates in one hand and flowers in the other. He stood SO tall....and I immediately had a crush, lol. I was just a little girl then, and the fact that he actually came to visit me will be a memory that remains in my mind forever. We went bowling that day...and I remember Bob getting three strikes in a row...I was in awe. After that initial meeting, we continued to write back and forth for a long time. When he was discharged, we still remained in contact. He even took my brother Jeff and I rabbit hunting. I couldn't tell you where we went, but I remember the time we spent with him. It was great. I remember attending his wedding as well. Bob will remain in my heart forever as a kind loving person. I am sorry I didn't get to pay my respects at the time of his passing, but I pay them now and hope that his family remain well.

I just found out about Bob's passing. He was such a wonderful person. We are frequent shoppers of Tri County tire, and Bob always made sure we were satisfied. He would go out of his way to help us. He repaired a tire for me that another tire placed had said they fixed for me when I got a flat at work. The next day it was flat again. I took my tire to Bob and he fixed it and now 8 months later, I am still driving on that same tire. Bob made sure I got my money back from the other place. Bob you will be greatly missed. Enjoy those Harley rides in Heaven!

Although I didn't know Bob (I was in Ray's class of '65) from what I've heard and read about him, sounds like he grew up to be a great guy. My condolences go to his family and I want to give a salute to Bob for serving our country. On my next bike ride, I will reflect on Bob and say a prayer for him and the family.

Our gentle giant has passed but his legacy will live on. We can all learn by his example by doing a kind deed for another. He was not always easy to understand but you always respected him. Please pray for Carol and Rob that they will somehow find comfort in knowing how many lives Bob touched. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him. I will miss him. YFSIL

The world seems to be running out of selfless people like Bob. He had no place for greed in his life, and I never knew anyone, including my grandfather, who had a bad thing to say about him. Thank you for all of the times you pulled me out of a pinch with a quality repair that would have cost me easily four times more ANYWHERE else. You are loved and will be missed.

My heart felt sympathy and prayers to Rob and Holly and all of Big Bob's family in this their time of loss. Bob was a well respected and well loved man here in Navarre. He always went out of his way to help my husband, Don, and myself any time we needed his help. Sadly my husband passed away this past December, and Bob was always there when I needed help or had a question about tires or my car. We considered him a friend and he will be truly missed. Thank You Bob for all you did for us and so many others here in Navarre. You were a Great Man to all of us.
