HOWARD CROTHERS

CrothersNov. 12, 1925 - Dec. 1, 2014 GEARY Howard Crothers was born on November 12, 1925, in Geary, Oklahoma, the son and only child of Lester and Mildred (Howland) Crothers. He attended Enterprise Country Elementary School and graduated from Geary High School in 1944. He served 11/2 years in the U.S. Army from 1944-46, stationed in Camp Lee, Virginia.On June 25, 1950, he married the love of his life, Shirley Peters in Geary, OKMr. Crothers was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of (64) years, Shirley, of the home. Surviving children: Sharon Carolina (Michael), Edmond, OK; Duane Crothers, Great Bend, KS; and Beverly Smith, Canton, OK. 5 grandchildren: 8 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to; OMRF, 825 NE 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK 73104. Services will be held, Thursday, 1:00 PM, December 4, 2014, at the First United Methodist Church in Geary, OK. Officiating: Rev. Tim Ashcraft. Burial: Geary Cemetery, Geary, OK.
