Delbert Vance Obituary

Vance, Delbert C. 75 May 05, 1939 Oct. 15, 2014 Delbert was known by friends and family as Del, Dad, Pops, Papa or Duck and was a caring encourager. He served the Oregon State Police from 1961 to 1989, then served as security at Federal Court House through the U.S. Marshal's Office. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; sister, Lu Ring of McMinnville; children, Cheryl Hiester of McMinnville, Daniel of Salem, Andrew of Tigard, Charles of Canby and Joshua of Visalia, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Oregon City.

I worked with Del when I was an investigator with Clackmas County DA's Office. He was a great friend, and will be truly missed. May pease be with him now and forever more.
