After reading Bert's obituary I realize that we had the pleasure of spending time with a very fine and classy gentleman through a series of events that lead him to Ottawa and our family. We take some comfort in knowing a very good person lived a long, full life. You could not help but smile when shaking Bert's hand and saying hello. Our thoughts are with Bert's family.

Condolences to your family. Your parents (Florence and Bert) were my godparents at my christening in Montreal in October 1953. They were good friends with my parents Ralph (deceased 2011) and Marie Smith (90 years old). My mum saw the obituary. She remembers both of your parents well and her thoughts are with you.
