Joyce Hintz Obituary
Joyce Ann Hintz, 92, died Wednesday June 3, 2015 at Bridgewood Nursing Home, Neenah. Joyce was born in Appleton on April 21, 1923, daughter of the late Bennie and Elsie (Anderson) Young. Joyce married Kenneth Hintz on October 13, 1941; he preceded her in death in 1987.
Joyce was a stay at home mom and she was dedicated to her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Prayer for specific issues related to her family's lives was an important part of her daily routine. Joyce had a servant heart and putting others before herself characterized her life. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and was known and admired for her beautiful African violets.
Joyce is survived by three sons, Rev. Marvin (Marilyn), Delaware, OH; Allen (Janet), Chicago, IL; and Ronald (Kathy), Richland Center, WI; eight grandchildren, Marcy, Matthew (Almeda), Melissa,(Tyler), Natasha (Gibson), Daniel, Joseph, Tracy, and Jami; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley Young, Appleton, and James (Wanda) Young, Appleton; and two sisters, Elsie Young, Appleton, and Joan (James) Besaw, Ocala, FL; Joyce is further preceded in death by her son Kenneth Jr; six brothers, two sisters, three sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.
Visitation for Joyce will be held Monday June 8 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 until the 11:00 AM service time. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established
