HELEN KING HITE Obituary
HELEN
Age 91, died Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at Silver Maples. She was born November 22, 1922, in Oakdale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of James and Stella (Styperk) Wilcox. Helen was a longtime member and the secretary for Northmont United Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA. She was a former secretary at United States Steel. On April 14, 1955, she married James William King, Jr. in Pittsburgh, PA, and he preceded her in death on February 13, 1982. She married William Hite on June 9, 1984, and he also preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, James William King III (Nancy Ambrose) of Ann Arbor, MI and Robert Craig King (Patricia Millett) of Alexandria, VA; a stepdaughter, Margie Hite Houy; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Trevor, David, and Elizabeth King. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands; and stepdaughter, Catherine King Zernhelt. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Northmont United Presbyterian Church. Private burial will be held in the Allegheny County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Music Department of Northmont United Presbyterian Church, 8169 U.S. Route 19, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Arrangements by COLE FUNERAL CHAPEL.

Dear Bill and Bob,
Our deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your Mother. I, Herb, first met your Mom and Dad when they moved into the apartment in West View. We were backyard neighbors. We became reacquainted with your Mother and Dad when we joined Northmont Church in 1967. Your Mother and Dad were so proud of their sons. Your Mother was a beautiful and gracious lady. She will be missed by all who knew her. You and all your family will be in our prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Helen's family at this time. My husband and I knew Helen from way back when she and my Mom, Helen Evans Robbins, were secretaries at Northmont. Helen was always so friendly and welcoming and loved sharing about her family. She was a lovely lady who will be missed.

Helen was a wonderful friend and neighbor in Swan Acres. We have fond memories of our "historian". Our deepest sympathy to Bill and Bob and their families. You were her pride and joy.
