Norma Cortright Obituary
Newark Valley: Norma Joyce Campbell Cortright, 82, of Newark Valley passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Norma was predeceased by her parents, James E. and Phyllis Dirk Campbell; brother, Jay Campbell; sisters, Shirley Atchison, and Betty J. Seymour; nephew, Gary ??. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 60+ years, Irving L. Cortright; children, Ronald (Jody) Cortright of Newark Valley, Gerald (Kate Schalck) Cortright of Moscow, ID, and James (Elizabeth) Cortright of Newark Valley; brother-in-law, Kenneth Atchison of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Jessica, Gerald and his wife Aimee, Melissa, and Julie; and great grandson Zayah. Norma retired from IBM in Owego in 1986 where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed playing golf with great friends, fishing at Cayuga Lake with her husband, wonderful family and grandchildren. Norma enjoyed cooking for the holidays. She enjoyed playing great card games and bridge with her neighbors and friends. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:00 at Tioga Cemetery. Irv and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Norma's passing. I remember the first time I met her. You were buying the house from Grandpa. She was a great lady. I remember spending good times with her in Catatonk.
