John and I were both living in a rooming house adjacentt to the UVM campus . I recalled that he used to sing some of the pop songs while we were walking back from the campus to our re our rooming house. We never saw each other again until about a decade ago when my wife and I decided Tony him a visit. We had been emailing each other regularly since and he had often expressed concern whenever he heard that was a wildfire in Southern California and I to him whenever there was a Northeaster in Connecticut. I didn't know that he was a coin in addition to a coin collector. I will always remember him as a kind and caring friend. It is strange that I was actually thinking about planning a trip to New England this coming fall to visit the few remaining classmates I still have in the area. Sadly, John has left us too soon. Johnny ( he was the only friend who called me by this. Name)
