Philip Frazier Obituary

Philip R. Frazier
Philip R. Frazier, 92, of Wells, Maine, and formerly of Southbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. Phil was born on March 1, 1933, the son of Philip L. and Mildred (Morgan) Frazier. He grew up on the family dairy farm in Woodbury, CT, on what's now known as the Frazier Farm. Phil graduated from Woodbury High School, where he was the mainstay of the bass section of the school chorus for 4 years, including singing in the All-State Chorus for 3 years, as well as running track and serving as class president. He graduated from the University of Connecticut and received his Master's degree in Education from Southern Connecticut State University. Phil taught science at Brookfield High School, including several years as the men's track coach, until his retirement in 1994. Phil served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1956. Phil loved nature and the outdoors, and was most happy gardening, hiking, camping, bird watching, fixing things, and travelling to national parks out west and various Caribbean islands. He loved spending time with family, researching family history, and sharing stories of his childhood and days in the Air Force. Phil was very generous and spent many years volunteering with Meals-on-Wheels, York Hospital, and the Wells Reserve at Laudholm as a way to give back to others. In addition to his parents, Phil was predeceased by his sisters, Louise, Marjorie, Rebecca, and Charlotte. He was also predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy. Phil is survived by his wife of 29 years, Ann; his three daughters, Elizabeth, Erika, and Mandy; stepdaughter, Jenny and stepson Andrew; grandchildren, Jack, Mary, and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Reid and Ramona; and his beloved golden retriever, Nellie. The family would especially like to thank the staff at Pinnacle of North Berwick for the kind care they provided to Phil while he was there. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, ME 04043.
