Not sure what to say?

When attending my freshman year in college in 1967, growing up in a middle class northern suburb of Chicago, I came across RFK's "To Seek A Better Newer World." From not knowing more than who was president at the time, or that Ted and Edward Kennedy was the same guy, this book was the start of a whole new world of knowledge in politics, government and history. Throughout ensuing years, Richard Goodwin became a huge hero of mine who, unfortunately, was 'below the radar' of the average...

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Dear Doris and family:
What a life! Parting can be agonizing but what a blessing Dick's life was for our country and for all who knew him. It was a privilege always to be in his company. And fun too! Our deepest condolences.

This brilliant man is a very real thread in America's historical fabric -- that so few knew of -- relative to his import. Read his books, such as Remembering America. I'm a conservative, through and through, and loved his work through and through...that should say enough. Rest in Peace Dick Goodwin.

Dear Doris, We are thinking of you and your dear Dick as you and your family gather to celebrate and honor him. Such an esteemed man. Our country is blessed to have had his service. All of Urban Improv joins me in sending our heartfelt condolences. The loss seems unimaginable. I hope the love of your family and friends is a comfort. What a lucky man to have had you all these years. With love, Cissa

I would like to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your loved one, who will be remembered for his contribution to history. May you find comfort and help in God during this time of mourning.

A truly great man; a mensch whose unfailing logic and empathy for humans knew no bounds.
