Pat D. Norman 1944—2017
Pat D. Norman, 72, of Machesney Park passed away Friday, February 24, 2017. Pat was born July 21, 1944, in Rockford, the daughter of Keith and Doris (Glen) Williams. Pat married Lee Norman on October 31, 1962. Pat was affiliated with First Free Rockford, she loved gardening, going to the beach, traveling with Lee and spending time with her family. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Lee; sons, Steven (Alisa) Norman and Chris (Michelle) Norman; daughter, Tracy (Jeremy) Cartwright; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Tom) Thomas. Pat was preceded in death by her parents.
A service to celebrate Pat's life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park. Visitation for Pat will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com

Dear Lee and Family, Jerry Knowels called me with the sad news. David and i are so sorry to hear of Pat's death. We still talk about or early days after our salvation. Pat and you would have us over for bible study and dinner. Pat's smile and her laugh always made us feel so welcome. I will never forget the one wall in your home she papered in burlap bags.
