I can't believe it's been 5 years. Gene was such a wonderful friend when we were in school together. He had such a great sense of humour and a definitely made my 4 years in Kansas City enjoyable.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you. So sad to here of Eugene's passing. We have allot of great memories with him at STA and Nouvel. All the tailgating and times watching our kids grow up. He was a great person! Our prayers are with all of you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Calabrese was our doctor for 8 years. Jim enjoyed playing basketball with him on Sunday nights at St. Thomas. He will be very missed. You are in our prayers.

Dear Collette and family, I can not tell you how sorry we are for your loss. The last time Eugene was in our office he was so excited about your move to The Villages. We have a home there and hope to retire there in the near future.Bob was anxious to get to know him better.We knew he would love it there.If we can do anything for you here or in Fla. please let us know.
We will be donating to P.S.C., that is a rare liver disease our son has.

Saddened to learn or Eugene's passing and my sympathies extend to his entire family.
I had the pleasure of caring jointly with him for a number of patients during my time in Saginaw prior to my early retirement for health reasons.
I have known a number of skillful and compassionate physicians and only a few reached the high level of attainment that Eugene did. I referred several family members to him and they were very pleased with his care.
I wished that I had gotten to know him better but his character and integrity were readily seen. Our loss is Heaven's gain, we have lost a good man.

Dear Collette, Julia, and Tony- I am praying for all of you. I have many fond memories of your dad and Risty Kalivas when they were medical residents at Saginaw General, where I was a brand new dietitian. Your dad and Risty were so funny and full of life, they ruled the roost! Everyone thought they were "the best and the brightest," and sure enough, your dad proved them right, giving back to Saginaw many many years of excellent medical service. Sorry to hear of Eugene's passing in Florida. I played football with Gene at St. Stephen's from middle school until our senior year in 1977 it was the best of times. I spent a lot of time at the Calabrese house eating dinners and talking football with Mr. Calabrese and Gene. Rest in peace #51. From #77 Bob Newvine
