Alberta Bauer Obituary
SHREVEPORT, LA - A memorial service celebrating the life of Alberta Louise Bauer, 82, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Blanchard. Officiating will be Dr. James Hill and Dr. Doug Allen . Visitation with the family will be prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Alberta was born August 13, 1932 in Denver, Colorado and passed away January 22, 2015. She moved to Louisiana in 1985 to be close to her daughter and grandsons. Alberta was a loan officer at Barksdale Federal Credit Union until her retirement in 1996. Alberta loved her church family and especially loved being with the small children in the preschool wing every week.
Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Althea Bauer; and brother, Donald Bauer.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon Lynn Hailpern; grandchildren, Howard Kent Harrison and wife,Angela, Brian Matthew Harrison and wife, Betsy; great-granddaughters, Taylor, Morgan and Natalie Harrison; sister, Jeannie Kukral; and her dog and best friend "Rosie".
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Robinson Rescue Mission, 2515 Line Ave. Shreveport, LA 71104 or First Baptist Church of Blanchard Children's Building Fund, 201 Attaway St. Blanchard, LA 71109.

Sharon so sorry for your loss. I remember, Mrs. Alberta cookies in Cubbie, we had so much fun, with the kids, she always made us laugh. She will surely be missed.

I worked with Alberta for several years at BFCU and absolutely loved her. Sometimes she was the highlight of my day with her wit. My prayers go out the her family and church as I know she will be sorely missed.

My prayers are with you and your family during this time. I knew Alberta when working with her at the credit union and Beall Ladymon General Office.
She was an awesome friend and made you laugh everyday you were around her. She is someone that will always be remembered in my heart.
