Alfred Dozier Obituary

SOUTH BEND - Mr. Alfred Dozier passed away at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, February 6, 2017, in his South Bendix Drive residence at the age of 68.
Alfred was born to the union of E.L. and Fannie (Williams) Dozier in Macon, Georgia, on February 14, 1948. The family moved from Macon to South Bend, Indiana, in 1953. He was educated at Harrison Elementary School and Washington High School. In 1965 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served until he was honorably discharged in 1969. He was employed in retail sales as a manager.
Mr. Dozier has left to mourn his loss one daughter, Cinceria Dozier of Benton Harbor, Michigan; six grandchildren; one sister, Maudessa Moore of Macon, Georgia; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E.L. and Fannie Dozier; and siblings, Walter Dozier, Willie Dozier, Tommie Dozier, Alex Dozier and Kenneth Dozier.
Services for Mr. Alfred Dozier will be held at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Alford's Mortuary where arrangements have been entrusted. Interment will follow in Fort Augusta Cemetery in Michigan. Viewing will take place from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
