Catherine Lovitt Obituary
July 12, 1945 - April 5, 2017
SOUTH BEND - Catherine Marie Lovitt, age 71, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, April 5 at 7:30pm at her home in Laguna Woods, California.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas July 12, 1945 to Robert and Dorothy Cressy (Williams).
Catherine and Dale Lovitt were married December 5, 1964 in South Bend, Indiana at Holy Cross Church in the first English Mass ever held at the church.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale Lovitt and their 3 daughters, Teresa (Brian) Jex, Cynthia Lovitt-Morrison (Bruce Todd) and Michelle Lovitt. She is also survived by three beautiful granddaughters, Courtney Morrison, Sara and Samantha Jex.
She was a 1964 graduate of South Bend Central High School.
Mass is scheduled at Saint Therese Little Flower Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Rd., South Bend, IN at 1:30pm, Wednesday, April 12, 2017. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at St. Joesph Valley Memorial Park, 375 W. Cleveland Rd., Granger, IN, following Mass.
Friends and family are welcome.
Catherine was an amazing wife, an incredible, loving mom, grandmother, and sister. She made everyone feel loved just by her presence. Those who knew her know what a gift she was in this world. She was taken much too soon and will be missed every second of every day. How very blessed were we all to have lived in the presence of an angel.

I am, so, sorry to hear of Cathy's sudden passing. My sister, Karen, was a school friend & introduced Cathy to our cousin, Dale, who she later married! When I moved to my residence, Dale & Cathy lived 1/2 block away! Cathy was a very sweet & friendly Lady! She was loved by all who knew her! She will be greatly missed! May she rest in Piece
