It's so difficult to say goodbye to such a wonderful man who we love dearly. It's even harder to wrap our heads around the fact that we will no longer hear his calm steady voice, sharing a laugh, a captivating story, perhaps a recollection from his earlier years or just lending an ear. He was a good listener and always made you feel lucky you knew him.

Brian's cherished Uncle Al never failed to end a conversation without telling him he loved him and how happy he was that we had called. Al was truly one of a kind, the finest kind. We were lucky to have had him in our lives for so long but it makes it all the more difficult to picture our lives without him. But he will live in our hearts forever. We are truly blessed to be able to continue to share our love for Al with Aunt Mary, Karen, Eddie and Mark, along with John, Brenda and Michele. We thank them for sharing their beloved husband and father with us for all these years, as we are better people for having known him.
