Darling Daddy, I continue to miss you. You'd love Diza, our Border Collie, and now that I am about to retire, I am mourning the trips I can't take with you. I will always love my beloved Dad.

I missed you especially this year, Daddy. We lost Jake, the dog we adapted just before you died, on President´s Day. He was an Australian Shepherd but you would have loved him like a rough Collie. I ran and cried a lot with him and he patiently soaked up my sorrow. I have felt your loving presence since he died and hope you two are at last getting to hang out (with Simcha, Rebel and all the Skippies). I love and miss you forever, dearest Daddy.

Darling Daddy, I will miss you forever. Your kindness, insight, quiet knowledgeability, humor and boundless love gave me a base from which to soar. Your memory is truly a blessing and I hope you are in a wonderful land of chocolate and great symphonic music with Simcha and Rebel and all the Skippys.

I miss my Dad just as much now as 11 years ago. I hope he is in a heavenly location, because he certainly deserved that. A big daddy sized hug to all those who loved him.

Dad, anything I write in ths guest log could not possibly do justice to the wonderful Dad you were. So, simply, and I'm sure I will come back to this again as I struggle to find any words to characterize you, the relationship we had, and the overwhelming sense of sadness your absense has left me with, I want to say I love you. Today is exactly 5 months and I miss you more than anything, but I remember you as if it were only a few short hours ago that we were enjoying a nice greasy meal at Newcomb Farms. I'm sure someday we will meet up agian and resume right where we left off, as if we never missed a beat. Again, I love you and so did so many others.

My Dad loved all his friends in Quincy. I know I am missing him profoundly. I send my warmest regards and thanks to all of you who loved him, as he loved you. In his memory I would ask you to continue his tradition of kindness, patriotism and public service.

Bert was a gentle man who always had a joke and a book to recommend. When he was in the hospital before his hear operations he told me a joke and was in great spirits. When I needed a new primary care physician he arranged for me to go to his doctor. I and the JEWISH WAR VETERANS will greatly miss him.

Bert was a gentle soul that loved to laugh at the antics of all the dogs and their owners at doggie playgroup. He would walk Simka up to the park everyday and enjoyed the social gathering with all of us dog lovers. I will never forget his gentle and soft spoken ways and how much he loved his collie. The dog world has lost another awesome dog owner.
My heartfelt symapthy goes to the entire family.

Bert was always nice to sit and chat with during all those cold hockey games in Quincy with David & Alex. He always picked the best seat in the warming room. He will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to the Shaffer family.
