CHARLOTTE ABAJIAN

Charlotte Abajian Resident of North Caldwell, known for her generosity and kindness Charlotte (Sohigian) Abajian, 88, of North Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. The funeral service is on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at 12 noon at St. Leon Armenian Church, 12-61 Saddle River Rd., Fair Lawn, N.J. 07410. Cremation will be private. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the church. Born and raised in Paterson, N.J., Charlotte resided in Clifton, N.J., prior to settling in North Caldwell 53 years ago. She was a member of St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn. Charlotte was a very generous and charitable person whose kindness and gentle spirit touched all those she met. She will be best remembered for her love of traveling, her trips to Atlantic City and her enthusiasm for football. Most importantly it was her love for her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, that gave her life meaning. Charlotte was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Abajian; loving and devoted mother of William D. Abajian and wife Lauren and Jayne Hanley and husband Frank; cherished grandmother of Amanda, Connor, Thomas, William V., Jaclyn, Sydney and Brian.
