Dorothy Lee Ryden

Dorothy Lee Ryden, 92, of Summit, N.J., passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at her home. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Bradley, Brough, & Dangler Funeral Home, 309 Springfield Ave., Summit 07901. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at the Central Presbyterian Church, 70 Maple Street., Summit 07901. Cremation will be private. Dorothy was born on Dec. 2, 1920, in Marietta, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wallace and Sara "Sallie" (nee Donahoo) Lee. Dorothy was a 1938 graduate of Marietta High School, Marietta. She was a member of the Fortnightly Club, P.E.O, and Questers. She was a member of The Central Presbyterian Church for 50 years and was a member of the Presbyterian Women, which she served as past president for several years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John V. Ryden, of 34 years in 1984. She was the loving mother to three children: son, John K. Ryden and wife, Janet, of Boulder, Colo.; daughter, LeeAnn Ryden of Summit, and son, Richard Ryden and wife, Kathy, of Summit. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jack, Dylan, Kallan, Melissa, Darby, and Taryn Ryden. Dorothy was predeceased by three sisters, Lucille Lee Cruise, Katherine Lee Gisel, and Janie Lee, and a brother, William Lee.
