Francine L. Branch-Holmes Child care worker, homemaker Francine L. Branch-Holmes, 65, made her transition on March 11, 2015. The celebration of her life will be held Saturday 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Baptist Church, 326 15th Ave., Newark, N.J. Visitation is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by the Whigham Funeral Home. Born in Richmond, Va., Mrs. Branch-Holmes was a 2010 graduate of Essex County College. She was employed at the Newark Pre-School as a childcare worker and was also a homemaker. Beloved wife of Jeffrey A. Holmes, Mrs. Branch-Holmes was the loving mother of Adrianna and Angela Sheppard-Keith; stepmother of Yvette Brower and her honorary son Al-Khaaliq Spann; cherished grandmother of KyWoun, Autumn, Azizah, Rainier, Sincere, Kanye, London and Madyson; dear daughter of Edward Levi Branch Sr. and Helen V. Branch, and caring sister of Edward Levi Branen Jr.; also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
