Albert August Hluzek Jr.

Hluzek, Albert August, Jr. age 83 of Nixa, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014. He was born October 24, 1930 in House Springs, Missouri, the son of Albert and Della (Brouk) Hluzek. Mr. Hluzek served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy during the Korean Era. On December 28, 1950, he married Dorothy Seyle. Mr. Hluzek was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Nixa. Survivors include: his wife Dorothy Hluzek; his children, Debra Terry, Carol Bretanha, Roger Hluzek and wife Sherry, Pamela VonHagen and husband Luke, Linda Whiteman and husband Darryl, Jean Hluzek, and Christopher Hluzek and wife Lorraine; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Hluzek was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Mary Jane Chambers-Quinn. Services: A funeral service will be held at noon on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Nixa, under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa, with Dennis Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon immediately before the service in the church. Burial with full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
