Harold "Hal" Bee

1926 - 2014

Bee, Harold Hal died peacefully at the age of 88 on June 11, 2014 in Cumberland, RI. He is survived by his four children: Deborah Meldahl (Glen Meldahl), Cindy Bee, Cheryl Morrow (Alan Morrow) and Christopher Bee; two grandchildren: Skyler Bee and Jason Morrow and two siblings: Janet Watkins and Richard Bee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Borum) Bee of Carrier Mills, IL, his brother Val Bee and two sisters: Valita Webb and Shirley Groche. He was the son of Valentine Bee and Zita (Klepfel) Bee. He was born May 27, 1926 and served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed a long and dedicated career with the Sporlan Valve Company and always said his business associates and his customers were among his best friends. Hal is remembered as a beekeeper, a gardener and a lover of nature. His fascination with the natural world was a gift he enjoyed passing on to others. His ability to build, repair or alter anything to solve a problem was inspirational. Services: A celebration of his life will begin with visitation - Tuesday, June 17th, 5 to 8 p.m at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road. Service - Wednesday, June 18th, 9:15 a.m., Kutis Funeral Home. Mass - 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Burial with military honors will follow in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join the commemorations.
