Joseph John Peetz

December 23, 1926 - June 21, 2014

Pascagoula

Joseph John Peetz, age 87, of Pascagoula went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was born December 23, 1926 in North Burgan, NJ to the late Emil Frank and Mary Haddow Peetz. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marcheta Peetz and brother, Robert Peetz.

Mr. Peetz is a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #160. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, U.S. Army during Korea, and the National Guard.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Denise Peetz of Suwanee, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Robert Hart of Pascagoula; granddaughter, Kimberly Hart of Pascagoula; great granddaughter, Kiesha Adams; and great grandson Kier Patterson.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Holder-Wells Funeral Home with Reverend John Tony officiating. Entombment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until funeral time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Keet Peetz Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Pascagoula American Legion, Post 160. Holder-Wells Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Hi Doug,

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I still remember the trip I made with you and your father and mother up to USM for orientation. It was a fun day. I rode back with them while you stayed on campus. It was a very nice trip spending time with them and getting to know them a little. They were wonderful people. God Bless. Your friend John Barber
