This wonderful man is the reason I became a pharmacist. Anybody walking through the front door was treated as a patient with kindness and respect. My goal was to own my own store, but no luck. I worked for him in my senior year and loved the business. My deepest sympathy and love to the family. The place he dedicated his life is in great hands. Your fellow pharmacist,

Back in 1994 when my mother was at home dying of cancer, Sal opened up his store on a Sunday in order to fill prescriptions for her pain meds. A small town pharmacist with a caring heart - not too many places that would do that for a customer. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Very difficult to find the right words to convey my sympathy for this saddened news. Sal was a major influence during my teen age years with my employment at Hargraves Pharmacy (1956-58). Sal guided me with my college choices and a sincere introduction to the Pharmacy profession. (also, with brother Tom). The fond memories will remain; Sal will be greatly missed. His focus on his family, his lengthy boundless Pharmacy service, and the many employees will long be remembered and deeply appreciated.

I filled in one day so Sal and Bob could attend a wedding. A gentleman came in the pharmacy and said Good Morning Sal, I said I'm not Sal, I am his replacement . He said "there is no replacing Sal, he is one of a kind".. Those are so true, He truly was a class act. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time.

My father in law was a mentor , friend , and a real "Dad" to me and the whole family in every sense of the word. He was a quiet man who , by living example, was the Matriarch of the Lanzafame family.
If ever a saying was true ...knowing him made everyone he touched and knew a better person.

So many wonderful memories of Sal answering questions regarding medications in his gentle yet assuring way. A walk into the pharmacy with its hometown atmosphere was calming in itself. Many condolences to his wife and family.Bless his soul.

So very sorry to see this - Sal was one in a million! I can't count the times Mom had to call him with questions - at home, on weekends, and he ALWAYS was there for us and through some very tough times, too. Sal was the last of a breed of what a pharmacist should be - so glad Bobby is following in his footsteps but so sad to see Sal go. My prayers are with you all.
