of Nashville, TN
Age 61, departed this life on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Green Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Preceded in death by husband, Merriett Perry, Sr.; parents, Ernest (Evalina) Jordan.
Survived by son, Merriett (M.C.) Perry, Jr.; brother, Carl (Katherine) Jordan; sister, Mary Jordan-Polk.; aunt, Amelia Howse; uncle, Ellis Hyde; devoted friend, Ethel Brooks; other relatives and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6-7 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service to follow at Lake Providence M.B. Church, 5891 Nolensville Pike, Pastor H. Bruce Maxwell Officiant/Eulogist.

Sending my deepest sympathy to the family of Lula. I met Lula many years ago and remember her having such a kind spirit and beautiful voice. To Lula's family.... I only knew her for a short time when she worked at A Moments Peace Day Spa. Each day that I came into to work she had a smile and I gave her a hug. She was and still is the sweetest lady ever! A heart of gold. Heaven is welcoming a wonderful woman to their gates! Love, hugs, and prayers to her family for the loss of a wonderful lady!!

Lula was the kindest soul I ever met. I am so saddened by her loss. She is sharing her beautiful voice in Heaven. MC-you are a strong man and she will always be with you. Remember her laugh and those amazing hugs that rocked from side to side!

I met Lula not long after I got to Tennessee. I am grateful to God for meeting such a sweet person. That was filled with the anointing of God. Lula chose to praise God with her beautiful voice that He gave her. I'm glad she did because I got to enjoy it along with so many others. And many will agree that her presents and voice will be truly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Losing Lula is not like losing family - it IS actually losing a family member, for all of "Lake Providence" is - and always will be - family! May you find strength in the fact that now Lula is with the God that she so eloquently sang about! Lula was gifted beyond measure, and as the scripture states, her gift made room for her! To the family of the Late Great Lula Jordan-Perry, I give you my deepest Sympathy.! I've known Lula & Mary(Twins) since I was a little boy. My grandmother were best of friends with Lula & Mary. So they considered me to be a nephew to them and I considered them to be my aunts. Lula was such anointed woman of God and she was truly saved, sanctified, and filled with the HolyGhost!!! I encourage the family to hold to God's unchanging hand. I found out that if you hold on to Man's hand, they'll let you go but if you hold on to God's hand he'll never leave you nor forsake you.!!!
