Clair Cody Obituary
He was born in Bath, NY, on February 20, 1932 the son of Thelma Butler Pilgrim.
He married Carole Ames on October 26, 1957 they just Celebrated there 56th Anniversary
He graduated from Haverling High School in 1951, he served in the US Airforce from 1952 to 1956. He served two years in Guam.
He worked at Burdick Electric before and after Serving time in the Military.
And then started his career at the Bath VA as an Electrical Foreman retiring in 1992 after 33 years. He was a member of
the Bath American Legion Post 173 for 50 continuous years.
He was Instrumental in Building the new post in 1971.
He held many different Offices, Local, County and State Wide.
He was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.
After his retirement he enjoyed woodworking and following his grandchildren's sporting events.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister Linda Learn of Savona.
He is survived by his wife Carole Cody of Bath, NY., his children Rhonda (Robert) Sweet of Bath, NY., Brenda (Rick) McDonald of Bath, NY., and Dean A. Cody (Deanna McManus) of Bath, NY., 7 grandchildren James (Karen) Sweet of S.C., Jessica (Nate) Cartwright of S.C., Nicole (Justin) Anderson of CA., Joel (Brittany) McDonald of Waterloo, Ryan( Morgan) McDonald of Prattsburgh, Bryce Cody of NYC., and Haylee Cody of CA., great grandchildren Owen, Madison, McKenzie, Conner and Noah, sister Pauline Leasure, brothers Robert (Joanne) Cody and Gene Pilgrim, in-laws Dorothy Pomeroy, Freal (June) Ames, Marjorie (George) Walike, Beverly Walike, Robert (Patricia) Ames, Deanne (Tony) LaMonica and Fay Learn, many nieces and nephews.
Clair's wishes were to be private Services.
Burial Nondaga Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers Memorials maybe made in Clair's Memory to The Charles E. Wescott post 173 American Legion 14 West William Street Bath, NY 14810 of Care First Hospice 11752 East Corning Road Corning NY., 14830.
Arrangements are being handled by Bond-Davis Funeral Home of Bath.
