David Duffy Obituary
David was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on Sept. 24, 1958, to Maria Herdes of East Lyme, and David Duffy Sr. of Venice, Fla.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife, Pam; and three children, David Reeves, 33, of Hubert, N.C., and his wife, Yeni, Amber Reeves, 30, of Albuquerque, N.M, and her fiancé, Noah Donnarumma, and Ashleigh Reeves, 27, and her partner, Jonathan Davis, of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his three sisters, Lorraine Spakowski of East Lyme, and her husband, Paul, Colleen Fasciano of East Hampton, and her husband, Mark, and Pamela Duffy of Niantic, and her fiancé, Rick Somes; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many very dear friends.
David graduated from East Lyme High School in 1977 and earned his bachelor of science degree from Southern Illinois University in business administration in 1998. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1977 and proudly served his country for more than 21 years. He was a member of the USAF Special Operations where he served as a Pavelow doorgunner and participated in numerous covert operations. David was a veteran of operations Just Cause, Desert Storm, and Restore Democracy; he retired from the USAF in 1999. David joined Sprint in 1999 where he worked, until the time of his death, at the Rio Rancho Call Center as a compliance manager.
David's family invites you to join them in a celebration of his life which will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Flanders Baptist Community Church, Boston Post Road, East Lyme.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org/

Two years has seemed like an eternity and gone by in the blink of an eye. There have been so many things happening and so many times I needed your guidance...I miss you everyday! My heart goes out to the entire family in Connecticut. David will be remembered as a great person. People liked him because he was genuine. He gave of himself without reservation. I will miss his caring nature and his wonderful laugh. I loved David and will do so for the rest of my life.

I am so sorry for your loss. Duffy was an incredible person and his passing has left a huge void in many lives. His kind heart, big smile and dedication will be missed. Duffy was a great man who I miss every day. I miss the morning visits to BS about bikes and life. I miss giving him a hard time about his Road Captain assignment and then getting us lost on a 10 mile toy run. My deepest condolences to his family. Ride on Road Captain.

Duffy, you're deeply missed. Sprint Rio Rancho will never be the same with out you! I still remember when Tyson and I were at Turtle Mountain morning the loss of our pregnancy and you came over to offer us your support and encouragement. You always had kind words to offer any person you came in contact with. You were always eager to fix issues at work. You were very passionate about your work. I worked with Dave on several internal investigations and found him to be professional, knowledgeable and a caring person. He will be truly missed but his memory will live on.

I first met David when he started at Sprint as a trainer in 2000. When he moved to the compliance manager position he found a true fit in a job. He was able to put his considerable skill to work. He was a special friend to the many veterans in our center and supported other cancer survivors as well. He was a trusted collegue, respected, and is missed.
